Femi Fadugba The Upper World

Femi Fadugba Interview | Mini Episode

In this edition of the Love Your Library podcast, we met with Femi Fadugba – an author whose talents seem limitless. With a background in quantum physics, Femi’s debut novel The Upper World is as scientifically impressive as it is gripping, telling a tale of love, violence and time travel – set against the unsuspecting backdrop of Peckham. It’s also set to be made into a feature-length film by Netflix, featuring Get Out star and Academy Award winner, Daniel Kaluuya.

We spoke to Femi about his background in physics, the challenges of writing abstract concepts for young audiences and what it feels like to get the call that Netflix is turning your first ever book into a film.

If you enjoy listening to this episode with Femi Fadugba, you might also like our interviews with Louise Doughty and Hannah Jameson.
